Dr. Carly Rose, Optometrist
Dr. Carly Rose leads a thriving optometry practice, Eyecare on the Square, in Mariemont. Struck by the growing number of dry eye cases in her own office, she focused her own research and continuing education on understanding treatments for what is often a painful and life-changing, yet highly treatable condition. Now recognized in this industry as a leader in dry eye diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Rose continues to stay on the cutting edge of research and technology for this condition. Noting that many cosmetic products and treatments lead to or exacerbate dry eye and that procedures for treating dry eye also have a positive impact on the skin, her idea for Clear was born.
Dr. Rose was born and raised in the Greater Cincinnati area. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Kentucky University. Following graduation, she decided to experience city living and moved to Chicago in optometry school. When not learning about eyes, Dr. Rose spent much of those four years enjoying all of the food Chicago had to offer! After optometry school graduation, she chose to complete a year-long residency at the Cincinnati VAMC Eye Clinic. Following residency training, she furthered her experience by qualifying and becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Rose is a current member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.
Stephanie Klemencic
O.D., M.S., F.A.A.O., Dipl A.A.O. and A.B.O.
Dr. Klemencic was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2005 from the Indiana University School of Optometry she went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease from the same institution. She received her Master of Science degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Michigan State University. Prior to moving to Cincinnati, she was an Associate Professor and Coordinator of a Primary Eye Care and Ocular Disease Residency Program. In this role, she oversaw residents and practiced optometry at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, the teaching clinic of the Illinois College of Optometry. She also saw patients at the University of Illinois Department of Ophthalmology Retina Service. In 2019 she and her family happily moved to Cincinnati where for two years she practiced at the Cincinnati Eye Institute co- managing surgical patients. Throughout her career Dr. Klemencic has been committed to using clinical science to optimize health using a personalized approach to eye care. She is excited to join the team! Dr. Klemencic is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Western University College of Optometry where she teaches pharmacology and ocular anatomy. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and Diplomate in the Academy’s Comprehensive Eye Care Section. She is also board certified through the American Board of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association. In addition to her clinical duties, she volunteers her time as a senior consultant for the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education. She participates in clinical research, has published many articles in national eye care journals, and has lectured nationally on a variety of ocular disease topics.
Jonathan Burt, OD
Dr. Jonathan Burt was born and raised in Kettering, OH. He completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology, where he met his wonderful wife Alyssa. He continued his studies at the Ohio State College of Optometry earning his doctorate (go Buckeyes!). After practicing for five years on the west side of Cincinnati, Dr. Burt joined our team in Mariemont providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. Eyecare on the Square is lucky to have Dr. Burt as part of the office!
Alyssa Ancipink Burt
APRN-CNP, RD, LD
Alyssa is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Dietitian. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Dietetics from The Ohio State University and her Masters in Nursing from OSU as well. She started her career as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care, but began working in the aesthetic industry in 2019. Alyssa has a passion for the art of aesthetics and building long lasting relationships. She loves inspiring confidence in her clients while focusing on natural results
Ann, Aesthestician
Your skin is often the first thing people see. Ann, the lead esthetician at Clear, knows first hand that feeling good about your skin is an important part of self confidence. At a young age, Ann was involved in an accident that affected the skin on her face, which sparked an interest in skincare, specifically from a medical perspective. Following a robust career in marketing, Ann began her journey to help others feel great about themselves, from the skin to within.
If you've ever admired Dr. Rose's skin, you've seen Ann's work. After years of appointments with Ann for regular facials and skincare treatments, Dr. Rose knew she had to be a part of Clear. Ann is excited by the constant evolution of the skincare industry on the medical and technological side, and has always been a stickler for ingredients, because what you put on your skin goes into your body. Ann sees good skincare as a key to feeling comfortable and confident with who you are, and it's a joy for her to help clients reach their skincare goals with a personalized, curated selection of products and services.
