Woman Having Aesthetic Treatment | Clear Eyes + Aesthetics in Cincinnati, OH

Non-invasive aesthetic procedures are non-surgical treatments that are typically performed in a medical setting, such as a doctor’s office or a med spa. These treatments are designed to improve the appearance of the skin and address a variety of concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, acne, and uneven skin tone.

Some common non-invasive in-office aesthetic procedures include:

  1. Chemical peels: Chemical peels use a solution to remove the top layers of damaged skin, revealing smoother, healthier skin underneath. There are various types of chemical peels available, ranging from mild to deep, and they can be used to treat a range of concerns, including sun damage, acne, and uneven skin tone. In our practice, we use mostly VI Peel products which are medium-depth and safe for all skin types!
  2. Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion is a procedure usually performed in conjunction with a facial that uses a handheld device to exfoliate the skin. It removes dead skin cells and stimulates collagen production, leaving the skin looking smoother and more youthful.
  3. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL): IPL is an in-office treatment that uses pulses of light to improve the appearance of skin. It is often used to treat a range of skin conditions, including acne, rosacea, sun damage, and age spots. It is also beautiful at tackling various causes of dry eye disease! We call this “healing beauty”!
  4. Neurotoxin: Neurotoxins are popular treatments that are used to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. They work by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles, giving the skin a smoother, more youthful appearance. Some of the neurotoxin options include Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau. Our experienced nurse practitioner, Alyssa Burt, can help navigate which type is right for you!
  5. Fillers: Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that are used to add volume to the skin and smooth out wrinkles. They can be used to plump up the lips, smooth out marionette lines, and fill in hollow areas of the face. Dermal filler options include Restylane, Juvederm, and Sculptra. We can also use the power of our own body to naturally fill! With our PRF injections, we pull your own blood to create a nourishing biologic filler, which not only adds volume but also stimulates collagen production, smoothes skin texture, and evens dark coloring (see #7 below for even more PRF information)!
  6. Microneedling: Also known as collagen induction therapy, it is a procedure that involves creating microscopic injuries in the skin using tiny needles. This stimulates the body’s natural healing process and can help to improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. Microneedling can be performed using a handheld device that contains a series of needles. The depth of the needles can be adjusted depending on the concerns being treated and the desired outcome. Some practitioners may also use a device that includes a serum application or radiofrequency technology. We use SkinPen, which is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device on the market. Microneedling can be paired with the use of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for added benefits.
  7. Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF): Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a concentration of platelets and fibrin, which are important for the body’s natural healing process. PRF is derived from a small sample of the patient’s own blood, which is processed to concentrate the platelets and fibrin.PRF can be used in combination with microneedling to enhance the results of the treatment. The PRF is applied to the skin during the microneedling procedure, which can help to stimulate collagen production and improve the overall appearance of the skin.
  8. Radiofrequency: Radiofrequency body contouring is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to tighten and contour the skin. It is often used to reduce the appearance of cellulite, improve skin texture and tone, and contour areas of the body such as the abdomen, thighs, and arms. The energy heats the skin and stimulates the production of collagen, which can help to tighten and firm the skin. The treatment is usually painless and requires no downtime! Radiofrequency is yet another “healing beauty” treatment that aids in combating dry eye disease, poor lid function, hooded lids, meibomian gland dysfunction, and much more!

Non-invasive aesthetic procedures can offer a range of benefits, including improved skin texture and tone, a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, and a more youthful appearance. A trained medical professional performs these treatments, and can be customized to meet the specific needs and goals of the patient.
